SHINE MURAL FESTIVAL 7

Saint Petersburg, Florida

First I get the wall

Being asked to participate in SHINE meant a lot to me. I am so grateful for the SHINE team and all that came out to help and support the project. I knew I wanted the mural to uplift the viewers spirits and inspire the community with lots of color and a fun message, “Be-you-tiful”

It was hot out!

The Mural is located on Fairfield Ave, and 23rd St. in St. Petersburg, FL

This is a south facing wall and I remember it was so hot the paint was drying on the brush before I could even paint, so my team and I painted in the evenings. The weather was kind most of the time and the stars above only added to the excpiance. I made many new friends and enjoyed talking with the community that would come by to see the progrogress.

Greatful!

The SHINE experience will be something I will cherish for my whole life, I love the impact the happy little mural of lemons has made on people’s lives. Art shapes the world we live in.
